(23) And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. (24) And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
First: Daniel’s vision was that of our present day religious system, is there anyone today who appears holy but is not? Remember Daniel had not seen the end of the priesthood in his day, it came in 70 AD at the destruction of the temple, 37 years earlier the final high priest came.
Second: Remember Martin Luther has always been referred to as an Antichrist it all depends on what side of the war you are fighting from. The definition can always refer to as a type of Christ, but not Christ.
I’m not looking to go to hell I believe in it, it’s the ones who don’t believe in it you have to worry about.
Third: After miraculous healing, he takes on a new countenance. Someone else gets in and drives, the flesh. The major work will be done. Now the beast will have his seven years. The wicked will have the god they chose. We will have finished God’s important work the harvest. Lets get er done! I want to go home and be with my Jesus.
(25) And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
